Thanks for the info.I have 4 Midland LTX110's that have around a 1Mile urban range so was looking at CB's as a option but will hang on if theres not much difference.Was only looking at using them within our own group so prob still Ideal for our use.

Does anyone remember the groups that used to monitor channel 9 on CB? I can remember asking people to leave channel 9, and 'rotate it up a couple'. I've got a Bothy Bag (2 man) emergency shelter which I take up the mountains. Made out of ripstop nylon/tent material, but very light. I have a three person one they are good, but they do heat up really quickly, they have them groups bigger than twelve. They do what they say on the tin as far as I am aware, they are not for long term shelter, but for an emergency bivvy in bad weather. Thanks for the info,hope never to need it but ...
