Re: Diabetic worries

Thanks for tip. Lots to take on board and head a bit of a mess as being made redundant and coping with last few weeks on job, job hunting and prepping for interviews. I'm so grateful I dont have to inject as that would have made me a snivelling wreck. Good news, hospital people today said avoid 'dia...

Re: Diabetic worries

Just got diagnosed yesterday as type 2 diabetic. Started taking magnesium supplements for something else a month ago and have lost over 4 lbs inc xmas excess. Reading up yesterday after the news from GP, magnesium helps with uptake of sugar from blood so wondering if this is why I lost weight. Guess...

Sent you a pm. Are there any online resources/books you would recommend in particular as aprep for this sort of course? What would you recommend as 'musy haves' for a bookshelf?

Please note: A tin of Stag chilli does NOT go well with Uncle Bens microwave Egg Fried Rice  Didn't actually bother to check if I had plain rice in stock be...

Electronic Books, E-Readers and Library Management

Hi all. Just been reading some stuff on the 'Lists' forum, which lead me to think about this. I have a vast amount of PDF's etc that I need to sort and I have a Sony E-Reader (trust me, from what I have seen and tried to help people with, MUCH better that a Kindle). I use Calibre as my library manag...

Re: electric bicycle and solar charging?

Would also like to know how you get on. I have a condition that, amongst other things, means my whole body is in pain 24/7. Gave my cycle away last year as I live in a really hilly area and couldn't cope any more. Really miss getting out and about and this would help me with learning how to forage b...

Re: Where do you buy your Jerky?

Proper lean extra dry biltong, yum. I like it so dry it snaps or crumbles in your hand, same for droevorse. Agree with the Hunter's bilton recommendation - seem to be one of the best. When we lived in South Africa, my dad used to make it at home and dry it on hooks in the garage ...and pretend he di...

Also interested in your two week course. I live in Dorest, but can travel if not hundreds of miles.
