I got a billhook, canoe stones for it, and an oil lantern. I got my OH binoculars, and a torch and pen knife keyring. I should probably get some paraffin for my lantern!

In the UK they used to coat the eggs with butter to preserve them. Apparently it also gives the eggs a nice buttery flavour as well.

We've currently got loads of kale, some turnips, jerusalem artichokes, mustard greens and pak choi. The spinach has yet to make an appearance and the pigeons got my cabbages. But there is also a lot of wild watercress around here which seems to be around in the winter. Next year I'll put more effort...
