Re: What are you prepping for?
I am prepping to be as independent as possible from all the main utility suppliers, produce as much food for personal use as we can and to keep skills alive (repairing things, making things, being creative, recycling, trading with neighbours, drying & preserving foods and cooking without gas/ele...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Everything is growing!! Cropping and eating has commenced. Granddaughter scrumping the strawberries, husband scrumping the mange tout and peas. Looking into ways of 'canning' various things for storage/winter use (if there's any left!!).

Re: What should we be doing in the garden?
Any chance you could recommend a book or some article on this please? My Indian garden is not going to be dug, but I'd like some pointers for a more conventional garden for the usual suspects like brassicas, roots and onions. Cheers! :D Hello Brambles, I use Permaculture & Forest Garden books a...

In Polytunnel (I feel lucky to have this and find it very useful) - Getting a good crop of Rocket that was started off inside on a windowsill and planted out beginning ...

Re: Money, money money
There's always a good feeling to be had from stashing anything useful. Tools, food, clothes, seeds, fuels, booze, gold coins, cash, etc. As a Prepper I feel it's a good policy to stash a bit of everything and everything in moderation. Trying to cover all bases. :) I am sure most (of us) Preppers wou...

Hello and welcome to the forum from a South Devon member :) There are many threads on here that cover security and ways not to look "flash/showy' so someone wants to rob you. Try the search box, they are well worth a read.:) Personally we store things in different places, some hidden some not. ...

Re: First attempt at growing veggies in pots
Some good effort being put in there! Well done. Thanks for sharing the photos. I started the usual inside in module trays late Feb, (using the propagator set at 20 C near a bright window) Toms, Peppers, Chillies, French Beans, Peas, Mange Tout and quickly moved them out to an unheated Polytunnel as ...
