Re: bug out location
It doesnt really matter how far your bug out location is..... as long as:
you can get there
It is out of the 'threat zone' that made you bug out of youre primary property in the first place
you can sustain yourself until you arrive at your BOB

Re: Water Starvation?
That was a great article from 'Well Gal', as she says, you are basically drinking 'essentially lifeless water'. Definately something to think about. I currenltly harvest water and treat it myself, but in case of bug out, i have some Lifesaver bottles... Might be worth dropping the manufacturers an E...

My question is - Are modern water filters fixated on ultra filtration and at what cost? We all want to get rid of and filter out deb...

Re: MRE's
It's either US or British ones. Re: Tent advice for bug out.
I would always go for a tarp or basha with bivvi bag and sleeping mat, they are simple, much lighter than a tent, more adaptable than a tent and can be repaired easily.

Re: First job

Word of warning there are too many 'experts' and 'doom mongers' out there! Be realistic and take on board a basis of knowledge from so...

Re: My BOB List comments welcome
There are many variables in someones bugging out methods. What are you actually bugging out to? Sounds like your gonna be in 'Refugee Mode'. If you are bugging out on foot you should be aiming at at least 3 days self sufficiency (the longer the heavier your bergan gets). Your gear sounds a bit too h...
