They have potential. I plan to pack several with some basic gear and stash them away in a variety of locations. I have a lot of keyed-alike Abloy padlocks, so would only need a single key should I ever need access in an emergency.

I'm nowhere near Yorkshire (Coventry) but have a pile of steel container tins I'm planning to sell soon.

I'll upload photos and take measurements tomorrow. They have a hinged lid and can be made secure with a padlock. Some also have carry handles.
