Re: Would you?

With reference to my earlier post, I have a book in print that is based upon my time spent working in a dog food factory. I'm tempted to post a link to it online but then I'd be breaking my opsec as you would then all know my name and location and we don't want that do we? Being quite well-read in ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week

Going back to basics. My water supply consists of 12l of bottled water to date, so I've just ordered a WaterBob from America. It was only £18.13, including tax (or at least I hope I won't be hit with anything further just to bring it over here - I once had to pay £40 extra for a few rolls of wallpap...

Re: Household items that double as defence

I have just received a reply to my question, "What weapons is it legal to keep at home (UK)?" of my good friend, ex-copper, no longer living in the UK. "Almost all offences involving weapons have to be in a public place to create a criminal offence. However a home can be a public plac...

Your Cache

Found a reference on here to a Cache. Now it never occurred to me to store stuff away from home. How would you arrange this? For example, if it's a lock-up, it's going to be raided by looters looking for anything they can find. So existing, unprotected buildings are out. Have you buried stuff in the...

More food (soups for sure), drugs (paracetamol, anti-histamine) and candles this week. 84l black box already filled (quite pleased as I've only just started) - I can't lift it, so will have to empty it out and re-fill it in situ in garage - so possibly another of those. Some of the BB dates surprisi...

Re: Painkiller storage

Any doctors out there who can tell me what to do if he accidentally comes into contact with peanuts post SHTF. This would, of course, be after the Epi-pens had gone out of date You can get hold of adrenaline in ampoules for IM or IV injection, slower than an Epi-Pen but better than nothing. It woul...

Re: Would you?

I'm really fussy about meat products anyway and tend to buy bits of meat, like pork chops and still worry about how the pig was reared, antibiotics and all that. The thought of eating pet food makes me gag and my family were hiding behind their hands when the lady from Extreme Cheapskates fed her un...

Re: Stove & Fuel

I've a lot more than 100l of various fuels but store them in my lock up which is away from homes. Be careful with jerry cans as liquid fuels 'attract' water so even the tiniest of opening will let water in over time. I use Aspen 4T and panel wipe which both come in sealed 5l containers and I leave ...
