compass

Post by Big Bear »

Back in my cadet days, we used a silva compass for map/compass work.

Is there another model of compass that is better than this.

Should i just stick to what i know

if it works for you I'd be inclined to use it.

I use a lensatic compass which is excellent at doing precise map work. This is the same model that the U.S. military has been using for decades. The sighting wire and lens helps to give you precise readings and the compass has self illumination due to the presence of Tritium. You can get them online at http://www.SurvivalCenterOnline.com
