For when Mrs Wiz and I go off on our annual jolly japes, I bought a Hope Stove from a company called DUNSTER HOUSE. This is pretty much the same as the Frontier Stove but hasn't had the things like the stove-pipe water heater developed for it (as yet, anyway). Before anyone rushes out to buy one thinking that you can fit the water heater to this one, I don't think you can, the frontier's stove pipe is thinner than this ones, so it wont clip on.
You can get this in two kits, a short kit for standing alone, or a long kit that has a plate and two 45 degree bends that allow the siting of the stove behind a wall of a shed or whatever.
What prompted me to buy this one over the Frontier stove? well, this stove comes with a clip on warming plate that makes the cooking area larger, and the price for the long kit is around 154 pounds.
So far we have only used it at home to boil water and do some campfire cooking, but it has performed very well.
Construction is from steel sheet metal, welded. It has folding legs, and the stove pipe breaks down to be stored in the fire chamber when being transported (we bought a couple of extra pipe sections to get the smoke well away from us when cooking) The top of the pipe has a rain cap fitted.
This stove is solid fuel, so it'll burn pretty much whatever you put in it, wood, coal, charcoal, bank statements and other documents, and comes with a removable internal grate. Regulating the fire is done by opening the fire door, adjusting the breather hole on the door's front, or by the damping valve on the stove pipe.
All in all, a useful little bit of kit, I'm pleased I bought it. Certainly more cumbersome than a Kelly kettle, but much more useful for cooking and keeping you warm.
(Usual safeguards regarding using solid fuel fires in homes/ tents/ sheds/ holes-in-the-ground apply!)

Drool!!!!
Now that is my idea of an outside/camping stove!!
Really liking the look of that and it has legs which means proper stand up cooking.
Going to bookmark that site for sure.
Thanks for the post.
