Greetings from Essex

Post by Jotnarjager »

Hello all!

I'm joining the site on the advice and suggestion of another member who is already on here. Me names Jay I'm late twenties, and as the title probably suggests, I currently reside in the deepest, darkest depths of Essex.

I've always been interested in survivalism and camping etc, and basically now I live in the middle of nowhere and have a baby due I'm looking for a bit of a better plan of action than simply becoming a man of the woods. :)

Welcome to the forum! I think a lot of people think that prepping involves man of the woods type stuff - then they realise that it doesn't! Congratulations on the soon-to-be baby, glad to have you here, and I hope there's lots of stuff for you to explore.

Hi and welcome to the site, also congrats on becoming a daddy. :D

Indeed it is not all about the woods, though there are plenty of useful resources in the woods.

I am sure you will find what you want right here.

Thanks all for the welcome, I'm sure we all have things we can learn from each other, I'll contribute best I can.

And cheers Wulfshead, I can understand every word of that but I'm still not able to reply, lol.

Jotnarjager,
LOL, just keeping the OE thing going for a friend ;)

Just one thing though, I see you have managed to use the othala for your avatar.
I tried to use our society emblem for mine but it kept saying the file was to big. Do you think when you are round next that you could have a look and see if you could work out how to get our emblem as my avatar please :)

There is another known man that has joined UKP, a friend we sat together with when he and Mercian came to pick up the lang seax I forged for him.
