Have you any idea what maximum load those can take? I know they are no good for climbing / shock loading etc. But if they can take a decent continuous load they could have all sorts of uses.

But, for the price paid i thought they were cheap, you might as well get yourself some and test them out.

Not exactly a survival use but I use similar ones for holding the handles of my shopping bags together in the boot of the car, stops the shopping falling out and going walkabout in the boot.
I also use one for clipping my walking pole to my pack if I need my hands free.
The ones I've not are not very strong, I'd be guessing and say about 50lb static load? I would test one but I'm running out of the things as people keep borrowing them... Theiy are just so handy.

Well
They have arrived.
The threaded part is a bit crap, but they will be ok for what im using them for.
