I have a couple of these and have found them to be one of the most useful things to have to hand.
Just a big square of light cloth, but being out on may bike I have used to keep sand / dust out of face, as a sling for a riding buddy and to wrap my leg after an unfortunate pedal/skin removal incident.
They are thin enough for 1st (debris) level water filtration although I have never used it for that.
I keep one in the glove box of my car and have one in my BOB's.
Wanted to know if I was the only one using them? Got mine from Amazon, here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

I've had mine for years, mines quite thick cloth though, I use it a lot in the winter as a scarf or head over if I haven't got a hat. Very handy bit of kit.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

No, but yes. I have a lunghi, Indian style sarong, which is bigger but tighter woven and I think packs down to the same size. Many, many uses, and easy to rip pieces off for cordage etc.
John Smith but a little bit foreign.

I use a green headover which is similar but an elsticated tuby thing... I mostly use it along with my camo hat when shooting woodies so they can't see my white face

Am off to Turkey in a couple of days (well away from any of the problems) - will have a look see if I can't find another one on the markets - or something similar / better.

A great bit of kit- I got a Tad Gear one off ebay
Re: Anyone else use a Shemagh?
I own a couple, but they're packed away in the BOB.
I wore a locally purchased lighter alternative when I was overseas. It was simply too hot for the shemagh
The local thing wasn't fire retardant but overall was more comfortable
