Hi, and welcome from Cheshire.
Yup. We plod on, quietly making ourselves just that little bit more resilient, Plotting to emerge into the new world and eat the weak..... OK. Not that last bit. Lets just not run out of loo roll in the first place.

I think I got outed by my handbag back in the days when I was a youth leader's wife. The teens (& elders) all seemed to know that I always had a spare tissue, first aid supplies, torch, penknife etc on me and on one notable occasion a soldering iron.

(In my defence I knew that I was very likely to need to mend some dodgy sound equipment that evening. The faces of my fellow leaders were priceless when it duly went wrong & I just pulled a soldering iron out of the handbag.)

My sister who is not a prepper (knows and has seen my store room because I trust her) and I have a competition to see who has the most in their handbag/rucksack aka EDC, although she wouldnt call hers that. She is apparently well known at work for having all of the things in her handbag, if you need a plaster, paracetamol, sewing kit, cough sweet, safety pin, tape measure, emergency phone charger she has it. I did beat her in our sibling rivalry though because I had a torch, additional spare batteries, a pen knife and additional first aid supplies. We were both Girl Guides, she was a Queens Guide, something which she has never let me forget. Welcome to the forum!
