This must be the perfect BOV for two people

Post by Frumsi »

In my search for the right BoV i stumbled upon x military vehicles for sale

http://www.mod-sales.com/direct/vehicle ... 13/EPS.htm

Its very ugly and possibly a tad too expensive but i think a good BOV for two people with a 1.1 ton payload and 1.4 litre diesel engine. And if the Army use them surly it will do every thing we preppers need.

But not for me no where for a baby seat  still searching.

I found that site a while ago and also thought those springers looked perfect for a BOV. However the army has sold off the lot, which leads me to suspect they may have had problems with them. Any Ex-Military types got any first hand experience with them ? The company that made them is now supplying new improved versions (or at least marketing them, not sure they got orders yet).

That doesn't look like its got much heating, and series landy will have plenty spare parts in every town, plus faster you go,quicker you burn your fuel supply.

Lombardini diesel....Hmm......not good. As has been said, a used Land Rover would be a better buy. Also i would feel exposed to anyone trying to take the vehicle and the weather would get to you too.

they replaced them with the husky , but also found they had no protection when used in Iraq and Afghanistan
