Shotguns are not technically difficult to design and build for a manufacturer, also the steel used is not expensive so yes, you can make them that cheaply and even less if you want.

Don't know of anyone who has a revo, so can't comment on them.

I have a hatsan escort pump for practical shotgun which was £300 new. It's tough and has served me well this year, and shot a couple of thousand rounds through it with zero problems.

You can pick up second hand pump shotguns very cheaply. Check out guntrader.

i have one along side more usual over under types and it performs very well indeed a very good product for the cost, just bear in mind it is not a £500,000 hand made purdy and never will be. Hmmm must add a purdy to my santa list!

some advice having semi auto or pump involves more moving parts and maintaince and could have more go wrong in the long term. i know 3 shot look temping im going to buy one soon to add hopeful getting my FC soon for 8 shot 8-) i already have over and unders and people who said they have pump tell me it is a bit longer to load than an OU only worth it really if u have firearms license.

There are just as many moving parts on an ejector over/under as a pump. In fact pumps are less complicated mechanically.

My farm gun is a 12g side by side I paid £70 for it. I works great, it's not the best looking gun in the world, but the seal is good and the barrels are not rusty.
I have other shotguns that I have paid a couple of grand for, they all shoot pigeons the same.

Unless you have can show a real good reason to have a section 1 shotgun you will find it very difficult to acquire. I have tried twice now and been refused both times.
