Just reading le mouses thread re her work edc and it got me thinking...
Are left luggage lockers still about in major cities, at tube, bus or train stations? Just thinking they could be utilised for a little urban cache of GH gear. As I very rarely go into a city I have no idea if they're about or if they have a time limit on them.... Just an idea, someone might be able to use it

Re: Urban caches
I personally have not seen any, think most of them got scrapped after 9/11 i know from people I know that there are some but I'm not sure where they would be.
But a cache would be really helpful in some situations.

Re: Urban caches
There are baggage offices at many stations - I used the one at Liverpool Street Station about 5 years ago, then they x-rayed everything (airport style) and there seems to be loads of stuff they will not except in the bags.
It's not cheap either, as they charge by the day.
There is some mention of long term storage, but I can't seem to find the info easily, if you want to check it out, here is a link

Re: Urban caches
Generally there are storage offices which charge a fortune to store stuff. Nothing like you get at US coach stations etc.
Re: Urban caches
I looked in into this in detail a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately it's not really practical. Lockers and storage companies charge too much really, plus these places don't have 24hr access. And if things start kicking off in London, these places'll shut shop and go home when you need them most. (You think they're going to hang around after a terrorist action or massive city-wide riot?...)
I used to keep a well-equipped 48hr GHB at my workplace (and I MEAN well-equipped! ), but now I work for myself, I don't really have a regular workplace. I'd love somewhere to stash my kit in London, but unfortunately this isn't practical.
So i just carry a decent EDC.

Use your favourite search engine and look up hiding things in plain sight.

So, where exactly would you hide a cache 'in plain sight' in, as the OP says, a 'major city'?...firepower wrote:Use your favourite search engine and look up hiding things in plain sight.

Urban woodland, flower beds, tubular fence posts, drainage pipes the list is endless all you need to do is reccie the area properly and make sure you are not seen doing itAttack Warning Red wrote:So, where exactly would you hide a cache 'in plain sight' in, as the OP says, a 'major city'?...firepower wrote:Use your favourite search engine and look up hiding things in plain sight.

Ah. I'd feel mighty suspicious though doing that in central London!
Urban caches
The OP said little cache so depending upon the exact size it should be easy to hide. Being small would mean minimal value so hiding several in different places would be the way to do it. The biggest problem would be CCTV.Attack Warning Red wrote:Ah. I'd feel mighty suspicious though doing that in central London!
