Re: Which knife?
well whats the price range and size you want, serrated, flat blade or curved. when you say molle sheath do you mean kydex that requires a mount or just a belt clip that fits onto molle?

I don't have any MOLLE gear as I think it looks ugly, but there are a few after-market Kydex sheaths with compatable clips (Grimlocks?)Molle sheath,

You hang around water a lot? Otherwise why SS?
,fixed blade
K....
Why?full tang,
Not sure what you're asking for herebuttoning part at the end..
What are you planning on using it for?Which one do You recommend? Why?
I see you have posted some more details
Sub £50 I can get behind, Non-serrated too for that matter (serrations are for breadknives in my house)
Blade between 4 and 7 inches has me confused though...... How many different functions are you trying to cover with this one knife?
Most importantly, is weight an issue??

Re: Which knife?
Thx for answers. I`m not an expert on knives. Let`s modify blade length to 5-6 inch. Buttoning part: to kill fish by hitting the head, using a knife instead of a "priest". Stainless steel because easier to care for it if I know it right. Would use it for fishing and camping, woodwork. Looking for something for general use, nothing special. Must last. Weight is not an issue.ForgeCorvus wrote:I'll help if I canlondonercsecse wrote:Info request:I don't have any MOLLE gear as I think it looks ugly, but there are a few after-market Kydex sheaths with compatable clips (Grimlocks?)Molle sheath,,stainless steel

Re: Which knife?
Well I was searching for a knife in this price range a few months ago and got the Gerber Prodigy which is a hell of a knife it ticks all of your boxes except the serrated edge and you can find it for a tad over £50 (maybe less) and for some reason you can get the Tanto version for £39.

Also don't discount the Bear Grylls ultimate survival knife, yes it looks a bit gimmicky but check out the reviews, it also ticks every one of your boxes

Also I will second the Mora idea above, or the one I have, brilliant knife for £14 , sometimes on offer 2 for £20

Personally I would go for the Mora or two , if I had had mine before the Gerber I would not have bought the gerber, but if you really must have a knife with a Battening end ( Its for battening pieces of wood for kindling hence the name) I would go for the BG ultimate knife as it does not look too tactical (military) when you are fishing, you might get strange looks with the prodigy as its a tad Rambo ish , I hear there is a new version of the BGs out but have not seen it yet.

Re: Which knife?
forget bear gryls knives as they have all been recalled due to product faults at one point or another and there not new there just rebranded gerber knives. the ultimate knife is just the prodigy in grey and orange.
deffinately recomend gerber prodigy. or save up and get its big brother them LMF
