25L water cans for £3.99
Re: 25L water cans for £3.99
Need to be kept in the dark or painted black as algae will grow in the water when light is present. OK, I guess, if you will be changing water and bleaching containers ever 6 months or so.

When you say bleaching the containers, would I need to empty the container, pour some bleach into the bottle and mix with water to swill around and clean? Then re-fill? Thanks for your help. can you not just drop in a couple of water purifying tablets to stop the algae, or even a few potassium permanganate crystals?

It's not the algae your worried about there's many other harmful bacteria that can grow in those containers that's why you bleach it and replace the water:)
