What food would You buy for £50?
So, let's say You got an extra £50 to burn (on food prepping), what would You do with it? Why?
Re: What food would You buy for £50?
I would purchase extra dried foods such as
Nuts, rice, dried beans and pulses. Spending at least £25.
Then another £15 on budget / smartprice canned foods mainly tinned fruit. The the remaining £10 on dried herbs and spices to give variation to flavour.
Simply because the dried foods are nutritious and filling, can be used as a foundation of a meal such as curry, chilli or soup- the herbs and spices turn bland into flavour. Most veg can be grown easily.
The fruit simply because they may possibly be hard to come by in a SHTF context and I've only began adding fruit to my preps.

A pulse is,
Noun
A rhythmical throbbing of the arteries as blood is propelled through them.
The edible seeds of various leguminous plants, for example chickpeas, lentils, and beans.

Rice and couscous. Tinned meals, veg and some fruit. And maybe some more toilet roll.
