The "Survival Medicine Handbook"... I've been reading thru parts of the book on Amazon and it's ideal for preppers. Ordered my copy. Would recommend everyone atleast has a look (You can read about a third of the book online)..

Also, can you suggest a good source of gear

sorry for delay in replying I have been away, I am EMT/Remote Medic level

As for drug administration I wouldn't personal do it without the proper training the actual act of administration is easy to learn but the underpinning knowledge and cause and effect including reversal is the area that requires the knowledge base even if you could get hold of the medication in the first place.

Nancy Caroline's book emergency Care on the Streets is a great book

A very good book is the
Physicians' Desk Reference guide.

Overview

Physicians' Desk Reference has been the authoritative source on prescription drugs for 67 years. Found in virtually every physician's office, pharmacy, clinic, and library, no medical reference is more current, more recognized, or more respected. Now in its 67th edition, PDR contains full, FDA-approved drug label information, including warnings and precautions, drug interactions, and hundreds of full-color pill images. Every label in PDR includes information on dosages, side effects, and safety information, such as contraindications, pregnancy ratings, and interactions with other drugs, food, and alcohol. Data on clinical trials are also included.

These may be had used on line at very good prices....

There is an on-line version as well.

cheers

FDA

Isn't that Federal drugs administration or something?

If it's a US book it is possible
a) some drugs not used in the UK
b) different names

Or am I being a bit thick?
