Hello

Post by Tonka »

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to prepping, and seem to be all over the place!
Should have done more research rather than just throw money at it.
I seem to have the vast majority of equipment suggested on YouTube
as far as one can in the U.K.
I'm based in the south east.
Has anyone come up with a "get under starters orders" list?
Regards one and all.

Hello and welcome.

Have a look here at Top Tips for Preppers

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=817

That's a good place to start.

Remember, the rule of three.

If the weather is bad you will only survive 3 hours without shelter.
You will only survive 3 days without water.
You can survive 3 weeks without food.

So what's the most important thing to start with - water and a way to filter/ purify it.

Hope that helps.

Welcome to the forum! Preppingsu makes a good point, at least it applied to me. We have been stocking up on food and have water butts however we have no way of filtering the water. So yesterday I got a water straw which is at least step 1 of the water system. Next will be a bigger capacity water filter.
