You need to know that there are "vitamins" and vitamins. All of the cheap supermarkets "vitamins" have a lot of bulking agents and other cr^p and very little of the good stuff. Check the labels and get your info online or from books. I buy Amway vitamins - only natural things go in them, they are compressed (not processed) and so on. But they are quite expensive, can't remember exactly but I think around £20 for a 3 month supply. I add them to the stock regularly as health is important to me.

Thats the Amway ;)

If it is the same one that was around twenty odd years ago the price is way to much, due to the sales technique, the further down the chain you buy from the more it costs.

Do they do the other household products as well?

Regarding shelf life on vitamins and other over the counter pills, my local chemist told me as long as the pill is sealed in its blister pack and when you pop it out it doesn't crumble it's is more than likely ok to take.

He said he would have no problem taking well out of date vitamin supplements, cough medicines, pain killers and the like as the BBE dates on many pills/tablets etc are put there from the manufacturer in the hope you buy a new packet when you come to use them when you're next Ill and find your supply out of date.

This info comes from our village chemist who has been one for around 40 years!!!!!!

Hope this helps someone
