Looks a nice little blade though. I think I've lost my SAK Spartan so that would have been a nice little replacement.

I think it's because it's a knife.

When I ordered from fasttech a while ago I got free delivery by Malaysia Post I think. I've tried ordering again the last couple of weeks and all of the carriers now say "no knives" or add the $23.90 charge. Shame because the site has some bargains on it!

Just had a look on there, finally. How can there be that many posts about torches?!

I like the chargers section.

Right - my finding's for the last couple of weeks temporarily EDCing a few extras.

I've had my torch clipped into my left pants pocket and quite frankly, this has been the most useful little torch. It's just there - clip off clip on. I've used it every single day. Now as it's darker earlier it comes in handy a lot. The one in my wallet, the Ti2 never get's a look in. Neither does my keyring Energiser light. I think I'm sticking with this.

And the knife, the Lansky has been in my left trouser leg of my combats. I've used it quite a few times. In fact, more than a few. It's very handy to have. I've found it useful mostly for opening packages and things, the usual. But I bought a cheap pound land charger the other day and the plastic around the nip was too fat to fit through the allotted hole in my protective case. I was able to just shave off some of the plastic and it works a charm now. I've also found that there are quite a few household tasks that it was useful for, which saved me going down stairs or back into the house from the garage to complete. I think that this big blade is actually a valid carry item. It's useful to have a dedicated, handily placed blade because even though my keyring mini champ would probably be suitable for 90% of the tasks I need it for, this thing is bigger, better weighted, easier to use and more convenient to grab.

Long story short, I'm going to keep carrying them for a while longer. If I find that I'm not using them, I'll drop them. But I think the reason I'm finding them so handy is the pocket clips - they just sit ready to go within easy reach.

In fact, I'm now thinking of looking for more legal carry blades and multitools that have a pocket clip like these do.

The pocket clip on this knife is really solid and hangs onto my pocket with just the right amount of reassuring purchase.

I've had one of those little cree torches for ages, very good light off a single AA (or 14500) I've just got 2 more 3 mode versions arrived this week and I've got more on order. I'm going to stash them around the house as "ready use" if the power goes out. And make up some small kits.

I think this is good value:

My prepping consists of bugging out by bicycle so any comments are likely to be based on that scenario.

I got two of those delivered the other day (max with free delivery), just to see what they were like. The build seem great for the price.

Things I liked were:
Three modes high, low, strobe.
All metal construction
Single AA
Push button tail cap

Things I didn't like:
350 Lumens is a lie.
You can see the SMD when you use the focus.
Took a month to deliver.

Is it worth £1.81, well yeah. Would I trust in, no.

Picked up a pair of these Waterproof capsules to keep a small fire kit in, really happy with them. Machining and paint are both on point and they have a rubber gasket to keep the water out. Well worth the £3.13.

I've been looking for something similar, cheers for the pointer, I'm not big on Ebay but at least I have a starting point.
