Penlight and 12v power generator
Thanks andy that clears it up nicely, the inverter wont be getting used. Im trying to figure out if i could use this charger to then power the radios being discussed on the other threads on here, so the battery will put out 24v, does that mean itll put out a certain amount of amps? Or will it fluctuate?
I am going to read that battery university link you sent but id like to hear it from yoyr point of knowledge rather than my possible misinterpretation

Re: Penlight and 12v power generator
With it been 24v in its current configuration you would want 24v lamps..... A HGV shop would be ideal
http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=24v ... 2.X24v+led
This is 12v but I you can get it in 24v

A lot of newer car accessories phobe chargers and such are multi voltage
If its the beofeng radios your referring to:
http://www.446shop.com/views.asp?hw_id=269
Ampage shouldn't be an issue for these its the voltage in the first instance which will fry stuff made for say 12v
Then all you would need to do is add a car style lighter socket and your good to go
