Well I bought a Maxpedition Micro a few few weeks ago and although its a lovely bit of kit I found it a bit heavy for my jacket pocket and with my works bag aswell I found I was carrying too much,, sooo I had the idea of combining them and found this .... 5.11 Kit Bag (Small) , on its way as we speak.

You cant see it very well but the side folds out as an organiser with loads of pockets etc

My works bag is with me at all times at work, and at home , and I was going to just put it in the footwell of the car when out and about

Very good review on Utube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M4fY_ewvTI

Also for anyone who watches the video, what's the thing he puts round the handle called and where can I get one, its a bit difficult searching google when you don't know what its called.

He probably got his off another bag though

was looking at an EDC key chain to add small items to.

found this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nite-Ize-Key-Ra ... 98&sr=8-23

cant work out if looks small, flimsy and rubbish, or if would be ok to put a light, mini mulittool, little yet practical knife, whistle, compass, etc etc on to it??

do any of you have such EDC things?

suppose i could just use a caribiner i have somewhere instead, but looking for ideas if have any...

Yuk! You could do just as well with a 40mm split ring and a dozen 20mm split rings.

OK, I know you don't have an Ebay account, but

I’ve a ‘Get Home Bag’ and a ‘BOB’ but they’re not really for either. Both my bags are ‘Just In Case Bags’ as I’m not expecting, nor do I anticipate even in a worst-case scenario, that I’ll need one. Which is kind of the reason I thought people might be interested in what I actually do have as it’s probably quite sparse. However, if its not in I probably don’t need (due to my circumstances) or I can get access to pretty much anywhere.

THE BAG
I have a Nookie Xtremist bag which is a 75l rucksack with a removable 25l day sack and has a built in rain cover big enough for the whole bag. So the Large pack is my BOB and the Day bag is the GHB. It’s a rugged hard wearing bit of kit and is a good price at £30 (Nookie is a well known kayaking company so wouldn’t get away with making crap kit). It has lots of pockets or places to clip stuff (though no molle straps), which is obviously handy. Its not in Camo Green or Special Ops black its Blue and Black so that it wouldn’t look out of place either up a mountain or in the middle of London (I don’t really want to stick out wherever I might end up).

GHB

There are 2 sections to the daysack the main compartment and a smaller front one which I use to put my EDC kit in so it can stay there I be forgotten about.

Inside the small compartment:

Rolson Money Minder Keychain with £20 in it. It takes up no room and I cant loose it.
I’ve a Mini First aid kit with plasters, painkillers, anti-inflammatorys mainly for general use. If things get too bad ALL companies and most new cars have First Aid kits in so I would be looking for one in there (I have other stuff in my car anyway).
Small packets of hand wipes
Small wash kit with disposable toothbrush and small shower gel
Spork
Coffee, sugar, salt, mints
MRE, Chocolate Bar.
Phone Charger
Earphones
Permenant Marker
Biro

In the main compartment I have:
Leather Gloves (though more for keeping my hands warm)
Shemagh (Black and white so it looks more like a fashion accessory and it keeps me warm)
Water Bottle
My Lunch :o)

On the shoulder strap I’ve a Leatherman Skeletool CX in a black nylon case which means it looks like a built in phone holder rather than a knife case

I’ve probably waffled way too much now so I’ll leave the BOB for

I like the Nookie Xtremist bag, have not seen seen that one before and the non-dpm helps it blend in in the urban situation.

I'll correct myself
Where can I find out any details on this bag as I'm getting next to no hits on it
