That looks pretty good . In hot climate countries it would work well. Sadly in the UK it won't .
We would need a lot of sunshine

Seems like a good idea that can be manipulated to suit our climate with use of solar aids such as parabolic mirrors, fresnel lense or good old fashioned fire

I agree! It might not produce what they produce in Zaire or wherever, but it would still work. Even if it only produced two glasses a day, thats still half a litre or so of water you don't need to worry about.
