Re: City Prepping
I like the attitude he has, it's very matter of fact and still far-thinking. I wish he'd speak a bit slower, that's my only problem

Just ordered another power bank (small usb one) £19.99 in Argos paid £40 for the same one a few years ago ... Screenshot_20250116_220745_Chrome.jpg I've lost an Anker powerbank I paid £90 for not six months ago. I took it to a market and it must have got lost in the pack down somewhere. Gutted. It'...

Lose weight as the bmi chart says I'm massive ...does it take into account muscle ? But the bmi is obv right..Cholesterol should be lower so stop eating everything..do more exercise and learn to live more healthily OMG, that mistaken diagnosis via BMI is so well known! Kudos for not jumping down yo...

GeeGee, that's great news, I hope it goes really well. And it's a detached house? I am *so* jealous (not horribly so! just in a good way). I hope all your preps stay nicely hidden - there's something to be said for black binbags within plastic crates, and plain cardboard boxes. And as your good frie...

Driving practice, after a fortnight off because of the weather - had my first pedestrian trying to throw himself under my wheels. Successfully avoided.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
I've spent a couple of hours this weekend working on the EDC for the car, including a better first aid kit, and more clothes than I've had in there previously, as well as an old pure wool blanket. The other part of my prep work this weekend has been to re-pack my airing cupboard, emptied out when my...

Re: Cannabis for pain relief
I’ve used CBD oil for pain relief and while it doesn’t cure it, it lowers it to a 2/10 if that makes sense. I then went onto the gummies which are expensive but if you shop around, you can find a BOGOF deal somewhere. I found the gummies weren’t as good but that’s a personal preference. Admission t...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
Ah no staying put isn't a viable option, although where we are now was fine when we bought it more than 20 years ago but as the years roll by niether health nor lifestyle is what it was. The gardens too small to allow a decent size extension, then add into that that we absoluely hate it where we ar...

Are you sure a bungalow is the way forward? I've seen a lot recently about lifts in a domestic setting - I suppose without the national grid, or a massive supply of electricity from a petrol generator, a lift is irrelevant to a prepper  but they look so much more secure than the stairlifts my...
