Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

I bought a solar charger for my kindle and phone, it has a torch on one side and solar panel on the other, very impressed so far. Its sitting on my window sill and had a full charge after a few hours. Also bought a small battery bank for the car/ handbag which is about the size of a small torch.

Re: Fruit and Veg Shopping Diary.

Thats a great idea, i'll do the same if you don't mind. It would be really interesting to have a better idea of what we buy, and whether its truly because i don't have something in the garden or because i just fancy something different.

I made jam this morning, 5 jars of summer berry and 5 of rhubarb and raspberry. I keep wandering into the kitchen to look at them as they look so tasty :D

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

Postman just delivered a couple of sawyer mini water filters, these will mainly be used when were out walking but should be handy for other situations too. Amazon currently have them for £17 instead of £30 so decided it was time to purchase them. Garden produce is a bit hit or miss but managed to de...

Hi all
Spent the day decanting hedgerow wine from stored demijohns, we now have 24 bottles stored for an alcohol emergency :D ,
and delighted to say they taste great (had to check for quality control).

I ordered a dehydrator today :P and have sorted out lots of jars I had stored.
Also moved winter sleeping bags etc from the garage to the loft.
