Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Been doing quite a bit of reading - especially about the economy!! Not very heartening reading! Sugar Storage
Went to get some sugar last night from my stash which is in an outhouse (brick built but cold). At first I thought it was frozen as it seemed to have expanded slightly and was rock hard. So I left it by a warm source overnight and it's still solid so i've had to break it down a bit but it seems unus...

Re: bug out ,bug in
I'm bugging in although I have looked at the surrounding areas for bugging out and it seems like North Wales or somewhere in Cheshire are likely BO destinations. If it went totally mad then I could see roads being the worst place to be as clever gangs could easily ambush any vehicles trying to make ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
I got some food grade buckets with lids from the local chippy to put some of my food in. Cleaned them up with water and bleach and they now have my packet stuff (pasta, rice, noodles, coffee, etc) in them labeled, dated and ready to go in storage.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Wow, that's about half a tonne of water  I just use the tap on the kitchen sink for my water, fill and store, rotate it every six months, unless needed in between, have a lot of camping containers I can use if there is a problem with the local supply that I can top out with extra water from o...

Re: Crossbow. Is it really necessary?
I've not got a great budget for a xbow but have seen them from £30 to £50 for an 80lbs draw (pistol style). are these powerful enough for hunting? I saw this one for £50 http://www.hunters-knives.co.uk/80lb-al ... istol.html
