I would get a plain rucksack as I read somewhere to avoid any military looking kit as it may draw attention to you being a prepper. I am lucky that my work requires me to have a ruck/bag and have just ordered this (5.11 small kit bag), the side folds out into an organiser . http://imageshack.us/a/im...

Well I bought a Maxpedition Micro a few few weeks ago and although its a lovely bit of kit I found it a bit heavy for my jacket pocket and with my works bag aswell I found I was carrying too much,, sooo I had the idea of combining them and found this .... 5.11 Kit Bag (Small) , on its way as we spea...

Not disagreeing, just curious , a lot of tall about "fitting" a backpack, are not the forces issued a "one size fits all" pack (alice/bergen) and probably use them far more than most of us ???? Yep, then most go out and buy their own, I know I did, I still have it 25+ years late...

Strange, I've always prepped so that if something thing did go wrong I'd be able to continue living in reasonable comfort, so that would be at home! Heating is by log burner, the wind generator would provide lights, radio maybe not a washing machine, but it would manage a chest freezer. The gardens...
