Re: I combed my hair,
Hiya Eyeball. Combing my hair doesn't take nearly as long as it used to because my forehead goes back behind my ears.

Car taxed and insured.
Found a reasonably cheap 12m fix for the gas and 'lectric (20ish quids less per month)
Now thanks to the lergy, I'm rotating my stocks of paracetamol, cough mixture and 'rolla tissue'

Food and teabags are great, but can you heat water if you're grid-down? or open tins when the opener in the kitchen craps out on you (that last one happened when I was a teen, it was a weekend and we ended up cutting tin...

I like the idea of that little travel kettle on solar although if we manage to run through our gas cooking stock the country will be in the stone age. Smoulders away more than anything else. We took to taking as,much as we could , taking it home ...
Re: Candles
I'll also mention that if you're melting wax use a Bain Marie, double pan or a jam jar in a pot of boiling water..... The flash point of wax is higher then 100C.
I've seen wax flash fire and its worse then a chip pan.
