I found tinned meats in asda but as you said there wasn't much. There were tins of chicken roll etc but that's a bit much for me lol. I did try chicken curry which I hated but kids and hubby loved, the chicken in white sauce was actually really nice :) great in a pie.

Ohhhhh I'm so excited. When we first moved into our house years ago we were told the large patch of grass between our house and the next was the councils so don't touch it. With the idea of starting a small veg patch I rung them today to find out if they would let me/rent it whatever 'uh no it's you...

82p torch

Down our local Tesco today and I found some small LED torches reduces to 82p. Tried it in the garage and gives a good amount of light, particually for that price. :)

Are any brands better than others? We don't have an M&S near us but do have an Asda, Morrisons and Tesco. Any good buys from there?

I'm by no means a food snob, my cupboards are full of basics tinned foods and cereals, however when it comes to tinned meat I stuggle. We've always had a butcher in the family so fresh meat has never been an issue. Obviously should something happen like a power cut or food supplies stop its going to...

We have had problems with leaking in the roof so possibly condensation. We're hoping when it gets fixed (if it ever gets fixed, council 'aimed' to do it by November last year) it will be ok to use.
