Re: So, now we are getting a new US President...

Easy to play around with that recipe. For instance, I prefer a can of mixed spicey beans to kidney beans, and you can start with chopping up and frying a chorizo sausage then do the rest of it. It's a great family comfort food! Indeed. If you are fortunate enough to have a local Polish delicatessen...

Re: Following the Swiss Emergency Plan.

Can't help thinking that the Swiss would have arrived at a whole lot better list had they bothered to log in here, and read, mark, learn and inwardly digest all the common sense wisdom and practical tips listed...

Best wishes, 2RM.

Re: So, now we are getting a new US President...

Just a quick note on water filters, things like the sawyer are great for camping in the uk and Europe, as all you really need to worry about is bacterial contamination, but they don't filter out viruses, and in a situation where you're using a bug out bag there's a good chance a lot of the natural ...

Re: So, now we are getting a new US President...

Thanks for the credit card tip, Arzosah . I'll have a look at that after Christmas, when I'll know exactly what the damage is. Meanwhile, on water filters, I've swapped my lifestraw for this , which has a longer life capacity (455,000 litres, allegedly) and a more flexible operation, while still rem...

But I haven't been doing that, and don't recommend it as a strategy. I've been gradually accumulating kit in a desultory sort of fashion fo...
