This guy (a vet and herbalist) appears interesting: https://homegrownherbalist.net There is a blog (containing seemingly incredible examples) and a forum. A couple of free lecture notes are downloadable here: https://homegrownherbalist.net/collections/free-pdf-downloads/products/free-lecture-notes-f...

I'm planting trees at the moment - alders (inedible) to provide nitrogen and climbing frames for vines then sweet chestnuts, hazels and various fruit. Linden (lime) trees for salad leaves. A 4m x 25m sheet of plastic is hopefully covering bare ground now, into which will go perennial vegetables and ...

Maybe a loan survivor, but based on my brain who is going to understand that? I believe we are living in a dark age. When things go ...

Something which bugs me as a computer programmer is the way most things are controlled by computers and most computers are locked down. Something bad happens. Lots of people die, leaving lots of stuff for the survivors. Which is junk. For example. There are apps to build a mesh network using smartph...

Re: Growing fruit trees from seed... How??
Getting tree seeds to germinate can take years, or speeded up with hot water for a couple of days followed by months in the fridge.

Re: poop / toilet paper
The Romans used a sponge on a stick .... They also used vinegar. So the "drink" Jesus got on the cross was probably used toilet cleaner... :? Maintaining the religious note, the toilet cleaner at work used the Muslim method of taking a bottle of water to the toilet, presumably drying his ...

Re: unusual buildings like bunkers for sale
problem is most of the bigger bunkers are bought by data storage companies I cannot think why data storage companies will want them unless they are going to fill them with boxes of tapes. Using them for server farms won't work - the biggest problem is removing the heat and with thick concrete walls...
