Heres my little man at 11 months old , i,m just 6 foot ... he is now two years old and quite a bit bigger and fatter ,,, he too is a trip hazzard for intruders because wherever he gets comfortable , he leaves a pool of dross :| Though i reckon he would excel at rabbiting . http://i959.photobucket.co...

Same here pretty much,,, i have a great dane which were bred to hunt wild boar , and i do actually believe he would given the right environment .
Hes also very big and overprotective of us as a family unit and looks quite intimidating , i may try him out in the field one day

Im just curious as a dog lover , how many of you guys will be using your dogs in your plans , either in a bug in scenario , using the dogs as deterrents against looters , or in a retreat scenario where you dog actually plays a part in your hunting activities . I suspect people panic/turn nasty when they don't know what to do. I'm planning on supporting an unprepared community and will have to give people who turn up both basic food and something useful to do. E.g. "Here's a clip board. Make a list of how much plastic sheeting we have among us."...

When I look at all the injustices of the world today I sometimes wish for SHTF so we can build a better world than the one we live in today.
Me too,, and eventually thats what will happen,, this whole system is totally unsustainable .
