Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
Today we did a stock check on our freezers. We run four main freezers, one each for meat, vegetables, fruit and dairy alongside our general use ones. Normally these would be depleted by now ready to be restocked this season but with the way things went last year all are still brimming so the next w...

Set up a permanent solar link to the ou...

Re: Food for bug out? Quantities
For something like this, I’d go with 7-10 days of food per person. Three days might be the bare minimum, but if things go sideways, like blocked roads or supply delays, you’ll want more. Re: Medicine use by dates...
Slightly mouldy bread has been used as a wound pack for thousands of years because of the penicillium mod that grows on it. I’d use it in a post SHTF but any mould that isn’t grey/green, utterly do not use. Far better to use standard first aid stuff, become trained in herbal medicine. Ointments/bal...

Re: Is anyone considering a boat?

Re: Is anyone considering a boat?
Think as has already been posted that it all depends where you live and for what use you would want a 'boat' for. For example a 4 man inflatable would be ideal for transporting goods, family the dog etc if you are living in a flood plain and find yourself needing to bug out... Myself i would need som...
