Those of you who like something slimmer than the Lansky may like to look at the Byrd Tern UK legal folder, its a sub company of Spyderco I think?? I bought one on the advice of a lad on another forum and I really like it.

I'm a technophobe but even I managed to download CHIRP and use it to program my UV5Rcs without to much hassle, I also used Nagoya aerials the 771 I think they were. I have reprogrammed my radios like some other people have to only use the PMR channels so I ended up with a good quality radio but with...

unfortunately the only bit of your lovely county I visit a lot is Alston where I often meet up with friends who have bugged to to that area to be more off grid.

Best work knife I ever had was made by a guy from Jarrow who made HD camp knives and machettes from old car and van leaf springs.

My sentiments entirely, I think my car kit excluding the normal breakdown gear only weighs about ten pounds.

I'm going to do my intro course to Archery hopefully soon when the archery club runs its next beginners sessions, another guy I've met is going to lend me his spare recurve bow and arrows so I get practice a bit first.
