Buying forest land then getting planning permissions alone is a massive task especially in over developed areas like the SW, but I doubt if it is insurmountable providing you have enough investors with at least (at a guess) £300,000 each to put into the pot for buying land, obtaining planning, payin...

Cheers for the feedback Andy, I remember someone saying the slower running 800 to 1800 rpm diesels are easier to muffle and reduce noise than the faster reving lightweight petrol jobs, thus taking us back to the Lister diesels.

I don't know if this is classed as a " prep" but this weekend I am meeting two other preppers in Filey North Yorkshire, then we are camping out at Robin Hoods bay near Whitby before they move off up to Berwick on Tweed.
