Re: Back yard
Hi Hobo. Here's my thoughts. I see the protection of my property like a traffic light. Green - Garden or any space around the vicinity of my home. Amber - First floor. What to do if that is breached and intruders are downstairs. Red - If intruders attempt to come up stairs. So if you concentrate on ...

Re: European Economic Collapse
The genetically modified world is already here. I watched a science programme where goats were modified to produce milk which contained spiders web. They also grow body parts using stem cells. So the world Juan describes is already fact. I was taken with his analyses on the state of Europe and the u...

Re: any of you on prescribed meds?
Prepared Kent. I've been a qualified psychiatric nurse for almost 35 years and worked as a Community Nurse as well. I would urge you strongly not to seek meds online as you will end up getting unreliable tablets that could do more harm. What I would suggest is ask your GP for a referral for CBT or C...

European Economic Collapse
For quite a while I have listened to TED talks, which are short lectures on every subject imaginable, and they're free. One of the speakers I constantly return to as I admire him greatly is Juan Enriquez. He is a futurist and has worked in biotechnology. Several of his lectures focus on the evolutio...

Definitely the two Cody Lundin books, and also I really like the Tom Brown's guide to prepping - or Urban survival. Link below.

Re: Lansky World-Legal Knife
I looked at the Lansky but, like a few people on this thread, was put off by its size. Unfortunately, due to the draconian knife laws in this country, we tend to be scuppered on carrying, what I would term, an effective EDC carry. If you are only going to be using a folder, unfortunately the best ar...

Re: High Blood Pressure and Cold
Hi Hobo That'll do the job well enough. Can I give you a few pointers. I've been a nurse/medic for a lot of years and taken thousands of BP's. So I hope my history counts. I've found even GP's don't take a good blood pressure, and sometimes their monitors haven't been calibrated for a while. Also th...

Re: High Blood Pressure and Cold
Hi Hobo I've also got a high BP. I'm really glad you found the topic helpful. It's my first day on the forum and It really is nice to be able to voice an opinion without being shouted down. Also it makes you think about how, without a crisis, your BP can be affected by the temperature of your home. ...
