Re: WW3 - logic

Let me just say to anyone reading this thread. Please, do your own research regarding nuclear fission, radiological molecular penetration and radiation sickness There are some completely misguided and untrue statements in this thread that do not reflect the general consensus of science. Tents and c...

Re: Air Gun Licence for England ?

Guys, I see where you coming from and can't argue with your logic; my opinion is (and it's purely my opinion) that all should be licensed not necessarily restricted though, it is more of a deterrent.. yes like everything you can't stop those who actively want to do something cruel, but it would give...

Re: Air Gun Licence for England ?

Being an FAC owner and also having air rifles, I have previously been of the opinion of non FAC air Rifles never being restricted, but now after seeing a spate of absolutely malicious kids shooting pets, I have changed that to requiring all guns being licensed, and air rifle offences being made very...

Re: WW3 - logic

No politician bashing please. not even a generic one.... :D ? I think most of the politicians themselves would agree in some part to my cynical observation. It's nothing personal. Over the years we've had some pretty unpleasant arguments erupt over the P word and various politicians. It may seem a ...

Re: Water tight storage

just seen these, but do you think customs might get a bit twitchy having 4 of them delivered from the USA? https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/us-military-surplus-81mm-mortar-storage-tube-used?p=WX2&i=697111&utm_source=internal&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2017.12.23_751A1...

Re: Water tight storage

Are these sort of things any good? I've a couple off these but I'm sure I never paid anywhere near this much . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mortar-Shell-Tube-Cache-Large-Geocaching-/183132759611?hash=item2aa390263b Grenfell, that is excellent and good fun, its worth just getting one and putting a few...

Re: WW3 - logic

And back to the OP. I personally doubt there would ever be a nuclear strike, not of the Hiroshima or Nagasaki kind, but the possibility of an air strike resulting in EMP to me makes more sense if one were to happen at all. Just so you all know. I don't intend checking out my cupboards but I have al...

Re: Water tight storage

I'm sure I've seen large drums with a "water tight" top somewhere. Indeed a very quick google search found these. http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/marine-storage-products-boxes/waterproof-and-airtight-kegs-drums/ The big question is how waterproof they are. brilliant, when I get home I wil...

Re: Water tight storage

You need to be aware that pressure at 3.5m is about 1.3 times normal atmospheric pressure so the water is going to be even more keen to get in to your goodies so something that seems watertight at the surface can leak when submerged. You might be able to get a dry-suit maker to make you a large bag...
