Yeah, I’ve had that happen too! It’s a bummer when the weather gets too cold for the garage freezer to work properly. It’s good to know it's not broken, just the cold messing with it. A quick fix could be heating the garage, but I agree, that can get pricey.

I’d say three days is a good starting point, especially if you’re relying on public transport, since it’s easy to carry a small amount of food. But if you’re using a personal car, you can probably stretch it to a week or so, depending on space. I’d recommend packing lightweight, non-perishable items...
