Re: staffordshire preppers.
I've just moved from your area but I know it well and I still head that way quite often. Like someone has previously mentioned we're not particularly keen to advertise. I shall keep an eye out for your posts and see how it goes

Re: London based newbie. Any prepper groups in London?
Hi, here's a link to a website with a free book you can download as pdf. or you can buy it for £20. Its called Beyond Collapse and is essentially my bible. I reviewed it in the books section if you want to look it up. Its aimed perhaps more at an American market but don't let that put you off as 95 ...

Re: HOME CANNING
So did I miss something? Have I missed a page? What was the outcome of the person looking to set up an estore supplying jars etc? Is there someone on here to contact where I can get them or have I got to get them the expensive way like everyone else?
Re: Generator
Thanks for the info It looks like I can hope to save enough for a cheap, noisy genny this year. Still at least the mrs will be able to charge her electric toothbrush in the event of a major grid down situation
Generator
Ok, So I have decided this year the main bit of equipment I want to get my hands on is a generator. I guess I would at a massive push, go up to £400 to buy one but id rather spend a lot less if I could. Nothing to big, essentially I would like something reasonably portable (fit in a medium sized car...

Re: Nuclear war survival skills
I'm not sure if this has been posted on here before? Bunkai obviously uses it but for those of you who may not of seen it before here's a link to Nukemap. Have instructional fun simulating the apocalypse, work out where to survive and become a wasteland warrior or find the spot to stand with the max...

These are all ready to eat / heat up type meals. British I think. Choc sponge pud, pasta meatballs, all day breakfast etc.

MREuse by dates
Hey there. I got a big bag of MRE's for Christmas from a friend who brought them cheap from someone with a surplus. They generally have a use by date of Aug 2017 on them. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of storing them and how long they will last past this date? Should I treat them a...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.
Finally finished the get home bag I've been building for the last three months today. Its is gonna live in the back of our car. The last thing I needed was the bag and I found a ridiculously good condition 65 litre karrimor rucksack in a charity shop for £3! The only downside is its a lady's rucksac...

Re: Bugging in. Where to start?
Id say liquids are a major issue, at least in our house they are. We've got probably a week to ten days worth for four people in various forms but they're a bugger for eating up space. I keep a shed load of water purification tabs, some portable water filter - life straw type things and a larger one...
