Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves . I reviewed my spending and stopped buying expensive coffees now just take a jar to work. Lunch was costing me 3.50 for sandwich and a juice now go to lidle and 1.50 from bakers including 1/2 pnt milk . So saving £40 a month. Could go hard...

Sorry to hear about your dificulties, how do you cope well physically it may be hard but your prep knowledge is always there and that is invaluable .As my dad used to say paid for thinking not for dancing.

I leave my apples for the birds etc as they are pretty tasteless,however just picked 10lb of first crop victoria plums and wife now making plum jam.

brilliant DT, thank you. as a coincidence - saw place over road having one fitted this week, turns out the guys son has a company installing stoves... might be handy to know. ;) :) :D Hi CovertColin - If you get it fitted and near wall then make sure they fit the proper fire/heat resistant boards on...

Hi
Covertcolin asking about wood burners ,try and get a multi fuel stove as you then have flexibility with what you can souce to burn,wood,peat,coal .Also if you can get some radiators attached to it is useful.Just watch you get the right size for the room.

Hi Suppose there are a couple of principles in the discussion - There is always a risk with investments and I always think if I cannot afford to lose it then I cannot afford to take it. Friend had a Shogun and liked it ,then sold it for a Land Cruiser said the Toyota was fantastic build quality.
Just need to look at how they hold their prices and how many are still going around.

Thankyou prepared kent.Have already sourced 20 heavy blocks for free ,so once have cash saved next couple of months will by the sleepers,concrete and the 3inch thick wood as the fence.I am going to use the blocks behind the fence as supports and have a four supporting strutts so hope will do the job...

Why we prep I suppose to deal with the ebb and flow of lifes challenges ,build up supplies and cash when we can .This allows us to deal with the unexpected and not get caught out and be less reliant on others . Yip I save a bit but then last week suspension went on the motor and 200 quid down.
