Airport Friendly EDC kit
I've gotta go on a couple of short trips via a plane with work, I will only be taking a small carry-on bag as each trip is only for 2 nights. I have an EDC tin & compact IFAK which is always in my bag. I will not be able to take them on the plane with me (contains a small micro multitool with a ...

Re: Denso tape uses?
Like the others I've not heard of Denso tape, but will be checking it out. Sounds like something handy to have in the house "Just in case". I've still a couple of rolls of black nasty tape from my military days, that's great stuff for fixing almost anything. Denso tape should fill the gap!...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
Hi everyone, Not been about for a while. I've been receiving treatment for PTSD, finally gave in and admitted I've a problem... Best thing I've done! Things are slowly starting to get back to 'normal'. On the prepping front, not really been doing much as I've had my head stuck up my a**e. But I've b...

Re: Prepper behaviour vindicated
I always carry 2x 1L water bottles in the car. Not a lot but enough for an overnighter. As for shovel, I use my old folding entrenching tool I got when in the forces. Good bit of kit and nice and small to carry. I also have 2 American self heating MRE's in the car so I've always hot food available. ...

Re: Checking new equipment
I always used them pointy side up, but I think the point here is that it worked either way  when you find them cheap you can get the whole thing cheaper than you can buy new blocks, I like the make your own plan though, it'd get rid of left over wax from tea lights etc. It does, they run smoki...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
Well I've finally sorted my water containers - 2 x 25L. Washed out with Milton fluid and added a capful in each, then covered in black rubble sacks to keep the light out (thanks to this forum for the tips). Next big thing I'm prepping for, is the birth of our first child - due to arrive in less tha...

My EDC FAK (Revised)
As a part of condensing all my preps so I'm not carrying everything including the kitchen sink with me I've revised my EDC FAK and thought I would share it with you. Due to this site not linking me writing larger posts I've done it as a series of pictures, click on the picture to view it in a larger...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
I need to get my fire kit back up to scratch, it's been depleted by use. Has anyone had any luck finding cramp balls these past few months? I had some the other day, but the wife rubbed them better  Try www.mdflashlightsetc.co.uk they always seem to have a decent range of bits for camping and ...
