Re: French Army Jacket
Looks interesting. Is it a waxed finish or is it just the photo that makes it look glossy?

Re: Knife sharpner / stone
I have water stones for the Moras and assorted other blades (they seem to breed when I'm not looking! ). For kitchen knives, after many years of no sharpening ever they were blunt as ball-point pens, so I bought an electric sharpener: Chef's Choice 3 Stage Sharpener, Model 110 to be precise...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4
Been busy this week, treated the shed with wood preserver, build a workbench and installed a Philips life light home solar lighting kit out there. Have to say I'm pretty impressed, it's surprisingly bright, I had to buy mine on ebay for considerably more than home bargains were selling them for, bu...

I used to have about 6 barrels attached in series to one of the house downpipes with one of these....http://www.wilko.com/water-butts+accessories/wilko-water-butt-rain-diverter-kit-black/invt/0346228 You cut into the downpipe and insert the diverter, w...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4
For me it's getting my 3 part water plan in a better place......... Ideally, I'd like to get to 3 days of water, but it's a lot of bottles to hide! Also considering a slimline water butt, but I don't have a downpipe nearby, so I'm researching other collection methods ..... Suggestions welcomed! So,...

Re: Bargain! Solar light + phone charger £3.99
Thanks. Just got the pendant kit and two of the smaller lanterns from my local store. Good price for back up lights Update - I've now charged one of the mini lanterns. They are not the most attractive looking of products, but I'm really quite impressed by the brightness of the light (60 lumens) cons...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4
For me it's getting my 3 part water plan in a better place. I've recently bought a Sawyer PointOne 181 kit (the one with the tap and bucket extras), along with some food grade tubing and connectors to wangle up a gravity system if needed. Also have a stock of Oasis tablets (mix of 1 ltr and 5 ltr ta...
