Re: Do not rely on RAC to get you home.
Hi Arzosah, I doubt complaining to an ombudsman, if there is one, will do any good as I'm not going to get my time back. There is often an RAC man outside my local Tesco, You will find me standing next to him telling everyone what happened, it will make me feel better at least. I will do something o...

Do not rely on RAC to get you home.
Hi all, I’ve no posted in a while because I’ve had nothing to say until this week but now I have to vent! So, as you may know, I’m caring for two disabled adults and one of the things I have in place is RAC membership. I was persuaded to change my membership from the AA by a RAC salesman who explain...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
You might get away with the tax as the DVLA is a shambles, it's the insurance data base that will ping you, most people change their insurance over when they buy a new car. It'll show up as uninsured. And no I'm not suggesting anything dodgy, just pointing out that you would be leaving a paper trai...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
If you buy a private sale car it's be untaxed and uninsured, that'll ping the ANPRs, gone are the days of buying a car with a few months tax. Taxing it online will need a dodgy credit card or someone elses account, insurance will need someone elses details at the very least if your on the wanted li...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
if you live in London or even within 30 miles of the city, a car will be useless in the scenario you have depicted ...... everyone and their gran will be on the roads trying to get out well unless you think this would be a targeted strike on your residence which I dont think you'd be posting online...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
London is heavy on security cameras, if your on the run the last thing you want to do is wander around the most policed city in the country, same with getting water from places, your attracting attention to yourself and maybe making yourself memorable to the staff somewhere. That could narrow down ...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
Joking aside this is turning out to be a good exercise. Most of the "expected" scenarios I have are answered by bugging in for the first few days and then reassessing the situation and only bugging out if we need to. As a result I have no real bug out plan. I honestly can't think of any ot...

Re: A BOB - I never thought I would build this.
Sound grenades? There are lots of options, some take a blank and go bang when you pull the pin but I prefer to use a "Personal Attack Alarm" as they keep making a noise until the batteries run out. She already has one. :) Set a trip wire at about 3ft high so dogs and rabbits don't set it ...
