Re: Knives - in trouble with the police!

I would *always* advise people to decline to answer any questions without taking legal advice. When they say "You have the right to remain silent.." USE IT. Tell them you are not willing to be interviewed without a solicitor present. Also, NEVER accept a caution without taking legal advice...

Re: How you keeping cool .

31 outdoors here, 28 inside with the curtains shut. That's in the garden hobby room which we're living in for 3 months while the builders do a loft extension and other bits. They've not measured the temperature in the loft but are sweating cobs. I'm currently sitting in the garden under the gazebo w...

Re: Electric scooters to become legal on UK roads.

Re: Let there be (a little ) light

I recently bought some bright white LEDs to light up a beer font in my home pub. I run them off a USB charger (using a 75 Ohm resistor to limit the current). A single one is as bright as a candle and it draws about 26mA. Going on this it should run for about 19 days from my bigger power bank. I also...

Re: Pensions info for people who were contracted out

I'm fully paid up, having worked 40 years (started age 16, retired aged 56). Wifey is a few months short so she enquired with the National Insurance mob and was told she could pay to top it up or wait and see if we have grandchildren and claim it as a carer if we look after them. As for the Offset, ...

Re: Hunger is NOT the best sauce!

We've had an issue with chillies this year; last year (our first) we took some seeds from a bird-eye chilli from Tesco, soaked them in warm water for 48 hours and planted them. They came up great and we ended up with half a dozen plants. We froze all the chillies and are still using them. We also ov...
