Re: EDC knife
Good topic. I will be moving back from Germany this year and will have to get rid of my legal German toys as they are banned in the UK. This little thing below is my EDC and sits on my keychain. Total length 3.3cm when inside the holder and 9.3 cm when blade attached, shame I won't be able to hang o...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
Mine came in a leather pouch so I am not worried about it causing an injury. Just a shame they didn't include a description list.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
Not been around for a while on here since my mum passed. Thankfully all has been sorted and we sorted the probate in quite a short amount of time. Looking forward to a fresh 2018 and made a promise to stay a bit more healthy and cut out takeaways...instead I managed to catch the flu the other week. ...

Re: Geiger counters
I did pick myself up a gieger counter from a well known chinese store for 80 GBP. Is pretty good and I have tested it with some beta emitters just to check if actually detects what it should.
Mainly I purchased it for scientific curiosity rather than in the case of nuclear fallout.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4
Well, I have been away for a couple of weeks.
My mum passed away the other week at home without any reason (aged 60). My sister and I are now pretty much alone to deal with everything.
Even with prepping I never expected this and it hit hard. Staying strong as my mum would have wanted!

Re: Prepping multiple locations.
I think I will start to clear out the cellar over the weekend and try to put spare food and water down there and a few things like a sleeping bag and torch. I think for waste it would not be a huge problem. I think a few large bins with secure lids plus some bleach could be acceptable in the short t...

Re: Prepping multiple locations.
I have a 'sort of' similar problem although quite different to two properties. I would like to know peoples thoughts also! I live in an apartment on the 6th floor and am lucky enough to have a cellar (good old Germany), the cellar space is split into four sections for each different flat and each is...

Thanks guys
The extingusher is just a 1kg water based system...pretty useless for most situations but felt better to carry something!
I am now considering purchasing emergency fire masks to help protect from smoke inhalation, have others bought these before?
