Re: Hello from the Midlands
Welcome Ras from a fellow midlander My OH has recently admitted he has always found my prepping a little odd but it never got in the way and his words I could have a weirder hobby than this. So hasn’t been totally on board but he has learnt so much about my prep and backups since the lockdown to the...

Re: Antihistamine alternatives
Would it be controversial to say to just buy a shed-load? Zyrtec and equivalents are cheap as chips and very available - amazon have bull packs that can be delivered next day. Easier option? That’s my just in case at least enough to last a few years, if the OH can not mess up my system again lol. B...

I'm not sure I could outlive that many bulbs!! I need to stock take more regularly in full no...

Re: Antihistamine alternatives
Thanks both Local honey that makes sense in a way, an easy one for the experiment list this year as we have local honey producers and in final house when we get a large enough property bees will be on list to have. I didn’t used to suffer as much as a kid and come to think of it used to eat a lot mo...

Antihistamine alternatives
If this topic has been covered before do drop me a link to the post. So the current fun has highlighted I am not as well stocked on an item as I thought which is antihistamines in particular the cetirizine hydrochloride type. My hayfever doesn’t normally kick in this early or this harshly but this y...

Re: Will there be food shortages in the UK?
Another thought to the prepper's mentality of weathering the storm by using one's preps has in this case highlighted the reality for many of us that stopping shopping normally eats into our buffer, we can see now preps will potentially not last the course, add to that we have the sitting pretty ( i...

Hi Oakelm and welcome, I'm also just outside Notts. You've joined at an interesting time.. I'm sure you'll find this place a great resource, as I do. Hi from Nottinghamshire
Just a quick hello, amazed I haven’t found this forum sooner. A little about me, I’m on the outskirts of Nottinghamshire, in my late 30s, female (just me, the OH and a sausage dog) and been prepping on and off for about 8 years. I only have a small supply due to space limitations in this house and g...
