I got my daughter (5 at the time) a knife and peeler from ikea. Its a great knife for young kids as the rubber grip and finger guard give plenty of reassurance. the tip is blunted but the blade is really sharp which makes for a safer cut. The peeler is also pretty good too. and at £5 its a bargain h...

Dragging up an old post I know, but a few years ago I bought a precharged split-air conditioning unit brand new for around £350.
